VBC Group is delighted to be exhibiting at the Schweissen & Schneiden Exhibition from 25th – 29th September 2017. This exhibition, dedicated to the welding and cutting industries, is normally held in Essen but on this occasion, is taking place in Düsseldorf.
In other news, Pat Rodgers, Technical Manager and Ultra Runner has completed two major races this year. The Spine Race is considered Britains Most Brutal Race as it is held in January along the 268 miles of the Pennine Way. Runners must carry about 10Kg of equipment and move almost non-stop for the duration of the race across mountains and moors. Pat finished in a time of 160 hours (6 days,16 hours), which included about 12 hours of sleep.
VBC’s Technical Manager, Pat Rodgers, will be presenting a paper on the Brazing of Titanium at the TIG workshop on 7th June which is being organised by the IOM Communications on behalf of the Titanium Information Group (TIG), part of the Light Metals Division of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3).
VBC Group is pleased to announce two new appointments to the Company, both of which were made in 2016:
John Hyland was appointed as the Company’s Sales Manager for Ireland. John brings a wealth of brazing experience to VBC Group from Johnson Matthey Metal Joining where he worked for many years. We look forward to significantly developing our brazing and welding business in Ireland with John at the helm.
VBC Group is delighted to announce that is has gained the approved supplier certification from BAE Systems, adding yet another approval to its current portfolio.

VBC Group has continued with its tradition of maintaining a high level of quality via its Quality Management System (QMS) by recently renewing its ISO 9001:2008 accreditation which is now supported by the acclaimed AS 9100:2009 international Aerospace standard.
VBC have joined an elite circle of companies by gaining the highly acclaimed International Aerospace Standard AS 9100:2009 Rev C on the first attempt, making this an extremely proud moment for all who work at VBC. Accreditation of this calibre is difficult to achieve and clearly signifies VBC’s drive and commitment for the future and to push the business forward.
